Riders can now tune into WHO-TV Channel 13 in the mornings to find out if DART’s buses are running on time.
WHO’s morning traffic team today launched a new segment for public-transit commuters, in which DART’s morning dispatcher, Ron Cheatem, gives a quick update on how closely to schedule the buses are running. He will be doing live phone interviews shortly after 6:15 a.m. and he will update the traffic team via emails at 7:15 and 8:15 for them to relay on air. He will report any major system-wide delays, as well as significant delays on individual routes.
This is new to both parties, so we may have work out some kinks. But it’s seeming like it could work out well.
Please spread the word and help make this a success.
